The Personnel Department coordinates the hiring process for all positions, except seasonal positions. Individuals seeking employment must possess the minimum requirements for positions posted. All announced positions are centrally posted in our Personnel Department at City Hall. Applications and resumes are accepted only for posted positions. All postings will indicate the opening and closing date. Therefore, applicants interested in working for the City of Selma must comply with these dates in order to be considered.

Employment applications are available and can be completed at the Personnel Department Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (excluding holidays) at 222 Broad Street, Selma, Alabama. Resumes are encouraged and can be submitted along with the completed employment application.
