Garbage Services:

Garbage is any refuse that is accumulated within the household:

• Food 

• Paper and plastic items 

• Diapers 

Establishing New Service:

Contact Tax & License office at: (334) 874-2122

• $24 fee 

• $12 monthly 

• $50 for each additional cart 

Backdoor Service:

For information about backdoor services contact the Tax & License Office at: (334) 874-2112

• Available to the Physically Disabled 

• Cart is placed at street by environmental technician and placed back in resident’s yard once cart has been emptied 

Trash Trailer Rentals:

• $75 per load 

• Payment is required prior to the delivery of the dumpster 

• Contract must be signed prior to the delivery of the dumpster 

• Payment accepted in the form of cash, personal check or cashier’s check 

• Checks should be made payable to the City of Selma 

• Trailer will be delivered on Friday and picked up on Monday of the following week

Dumpster Services:

To establish service contact Tax & License at City Hall at (334) 874-2112

• $160 per month 

• Dumpsters are emptied three times a week (additional emptying is available upon request) 

Trash Pickup:

Please contact Environmental Services at (334) 874-2165 with questions about the pick dates of trash or designated dumping areas. If there is garbage in the trash, the trash will not be picked up.
